About this Site.
My name is Andrea and I say "I'm vegan" because it's easier than saying "I eat a whole foods plant-based diet." Neither diet includes animal products (meat, dairy, eggs). So, what's the difference? Technically, a Twinkie is vegan, but is it healthy? You know it's not. My goal is to eat healthy, minimally processed food. French fries are technically vegan, but healthy? Nope (all calories and fat, no fiber or nutrients, too much salt).
So, on this website, I avoid processed vegan foods (think burger substitutes) and foods with added sugars, oils, and salt (SOS - think pastries). I do eat well (tasty and healthy foods), but it takes some work and creativity. I created this website for two reasons:

- To help people eat healthier without too much effort, and
- To help restaurants create and market their menus so they draw both vegans and omnivores.
